2024
The LC2 Foundation was honored to present Andrew Schmidt with a check for $20,000 at the 4th Annual Take a Bite Out of Cancer 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. Andrew and his family are residents of Doylestown and he attended Archbishop Wood High School and Sacred Heart University. Andrew was diagnosed in February of 2021 with ALL Leukemia. His first round of chemotherapy treatment lasted 2 1/2 years and ended in June of 2023. After one year of good blood tests, unfortunately Andrew’s leukemia returned in June of 2024. Andrew then received more intense chemotherapy, which made him eligible for a bone marrow transplant. Andrew’s twin brother, Kameron, was a perfect bone marrow match and Andrew received his brother’s bone marrow on October 1, 2024. Andrew and his family are doing well following the transplant and we are thrilled to welcome them into the LC2 Foundation family.

2023
The LC2 Foundation had the privilege of donating $15,000.00 to Reed Pratt at the 2023 Take a Bite Out of Cancer 5K. Reed was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma at the age of 12 and has beat this disease twice in the last three years. Reed is currently an 8th grade student in Doylestown and will be back on the football field, basketball court and track soon. Reed is an inspiration to us all and we are honored to welcome him into the LC2 Foundation family.

2022
It is with great pride and honor that the LC2 Foundation has made a donation of $20,000 to the Simcox Family. Kristy Simcox, the mother of two adorable young boys, was originally diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2017. After surgery and treatment, Kristy beat colorectal cancer and was cancer free for 2 years. Unfortunately, in 2019 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After several surgeries and chemotherapy, Kristy was cancer free with clear imaging. During her annual screening in January 2022, Kristy was diagnosed with the Stage 4 breast cancer. She is again undergoing treatments and is optimistic that she will beat this horrible disease for a third time!
Kristy’s amazing husband, Cole, and her young boys, extended family, friends and church have been a wonderful support system. The LC2 Foundation is thrilled to support the Simcox Family and welcome them into our Foundation Family.
